WHAT IT IS:
This is a RSS Tarmac Series Lower Control Arm Kit - Used to increase negative camber and track beyond the -1.8 degrees that can be achieved with stock suspension.
RSS High Performance Tarmac Series Suspension Components are designed, engineered and manufactured on location here in the USA. RSS Tarmac Series Control Arms are manufactured from 6061 aerospace grade billet aluminum. This allows for a more uniform molecular structure at every point of the arm over the cast motorsports arm giving the customer a more durable and inherently stronger part. Manufacturing from billet aluminum rather than casting results in less impurities in the metal.
Completely serviceable – for the extreme, repetitive track-day participant, our high-strength steel alloy spherical bearings (with a friction reducing / longevity increasing Teflon liner) can be replaced unlike the motorsports arm, in which case the customer will have to buy a new set of arms if the spherical bearings are worn. Additionally, anodized surfaces and zinc-plated steel parts allow for better corrosion resistance against the elements. Adjustable suspension geometry – adjust dynamic camber values and roll center heights with our unique zinc-plated steel bushings. Solid monoball control arm ends offer a more responsive suspension over the factory one-piece rubber-injected control arm (also uses the same high strength steel alloy spherical bearing found in our control arm monoball kit). Unique design provides more gusseting over the motorsports arms for added strength and aesthetically appealing looks.

COMMENTS:
We absolutely love these control arms - we couldn't wait to get them on our shop GT3. Not only are they great looking and built to the highest quality standards they have some real advantages over the standard GT3 adjustable lower control arms - (1) they come with monoball bushings in the inner section - no rubber!, (2) the ball joints can be replaced if they wear out rather than having to replace the entire arm, (3) you can swap out the thrust arm bushings for adjustable/non-adjustable or hydraulic/non-hydraulic which gives you maximum flexibility and (4) for those of you that love tinkering with your car's setup to the Nth degree, they can be shimmed to change the roll center. This conversion kit contains everything need to convert your front or rear suspension to the two piece GT3 "style" lower control arm design. By adding shims between the inner and outer control arm, you can adjust camber far beyond the capability of the stock suspension, for improved tire contact and better handling. One kit is for either front or rear of your car (2 corners). All necessary hardware is included. On the front, if you are looking for something closer to a track setup you will probably want to start with the 13mm of shims per side (front) included in the kit to reach the typical target of -3.0 degrees (+/- .2 degrees) .
