Rear Brake Pads, PAGID R 14 (Black), Boxster (986), REAR

WHAT IT IS:

 

PAGID: R 14 Black - This is a medium high friction value ceramic type compound with very good modulation, high fade resistance, low heat conductivity, and a good wear rate up to a temperature of 650°C (1.200°F). It is kind on discs, with visible grooving, but a limitation of hairline cracks.

 

Applications: NASCAR, CART, F3, Touring cars, GT cars, WSC, Trans Am and Rally.

APPLICATION: 

 

Type 986 Boxster 2.5-liter, 2.7-liter 1997-2004

 

COMMENTS: 

 

We have done extensive testing with these pads in both our BSX and BSR cars. These pads provide good initial bite without being too aggressive where you need to be overly delicate with the brake pedal. Pad life is good and they aren’t too harsh on rotors. We recommend the Black pads in the rear for BSR cars. Because the BSR cars are a lighter they tend to push a bit more than the BSX cars and the more aggressive Black pads can help with turn in.
