WHAT IT IS:
This Sachs sport clutch kit includes a sport pressure plate, sport clutch disc with organic lining, and new throw-out bearing.

One Sachs sport clutch kit (3 components)
APPLICATION:
Porsche Boxster Type 986 2.5-liter, 1997-1999.
COMMENTS:
We find that the stock (OE) pressure plate and clutch work pretty well and provide some relief to the stock transmission but if you are an aggressive driver you might need a little more clutch. This is a great upgrade for those of you running a BoxsterSpec Racer (BSR).
The Sachs sport pressure plate provides 50% to 70% increase in clamping load and computer balanced for low resonance at high RPMs. The Sachs sport clutch disc with organic friction material have a superior thermal resistance, are more resistant against RPMs as OE discs
and are able to transmit higher torque. You have two hub type options with this clutch disc spring center or solid center. We recommend the spring center hub if you are running a lightweight single mass aluminum flywheel because it provides some dampening between the drive line and the engine. If you are running the stock dual mass flywheel we recommend the rigid hub because the dual mass flywheel provides the necessary dampening.
This includes everything you need to replace the clutch. Of course, you may want to address the pesky leaky rear main seal (aka "flywheel seal") while you have everything apart.
