Air filters remove impurities from the intake tract, preventing them from working their way into your engine and causing damage. Replace your dirty filter with a fresh OEM Mahle filter and get more power at the same time! We do not recommend K&N "oiled" filters for any Porsche -- they allow large particulates to pass, and they destroy MAF (mass airflow sensors).
